USB devices help

USB devices (MP3 players, cameras, pen drives, etc.) are detected by Linux when they are inserted into a suitable USB socket. After a short time after insertion into a USB socket, an icon for your device will appear on your desktop; clicking on this icon will launch your system’s file manager/browser to allow you to view the contents of your device. When you have finished with your device, you will need to unmount it from the file system; right-click on the icon on your desktop and select unmount/eject and then wait for the icon to disappear or confirmation of unmounting to appear; otherwise, wait at least four seconds before physically removing it from its socket.
