We will be installing 40 computers on Saturday Jan 8th with Mepis/Debian Linux at Bannerman Road School. We hope to distribute most of the machines to households of the children in the reception class at the school by the end of the day.
We will begin to move the computers from their storage facilities (across the road) at 10 am.
While installing Mepis on the machines is the prime object of the day, we hope to be able to configure the installations to optomise them for the project as per BannermanOtherConfig
Sean will take responsibility get as many details as possible. As a minumum we need to record:
1, Where the machines are to be based, including number and postcode and who might be using them for use in subsequent development of the project.
2, The telephone number of the person with the machine.
3, The MAC address of the machine.
