A quick write up of how to get FC3 with KDE onto the Easton Residents Network
GNOME is default, select to choose packages and choose KDE instead
Once installed
change /etc/X11/xorg.conf change the line that says driver "vesa" to driver "sis"
this works brilliantly, but the system config GUIs don't get it, so you need to do this manual set up.
also DESKTOP="KDE" in /etc/sysconfig/desktop (instead of DESKTOP="GNOME") and everyone will log in to KDE as default (otherwise they need to select a session type on every log in.
install the printer using localhost:631
create a user account for one person with their name.
this isn't a way of upgrading the machines is it? this is post-install after loading the FC3 disks is it?
