Overall status

A brief, one paragraph, summary of progress highlighting any significant issues or events.

We have successfully recruited 22 volunteers for the Foo project and trained 18 of them. As soon as we have recruited somebody to fill the remaining slot and run the last batch of training we will be ready to begin the implementation phase.

Progress over the previous month (or other period since the last report)

Divide by team or person or activity as appropriate. When completing this section always refer to the 'planned work and targets' section from the previous project status report.

General

  • The planning workshop went ahead as planned (!) and was well attended.
  • Planning of the implementation phase is almost complete. A draft plan will be available by Mon 30th Feb.

Recruitment

  • We have recruited a further six volunteers since last month, bringing us up to a total of 22, just one short of our original target.

Training

  • We have run two more training sessions. Eighteen of the volunteers have now completed their training.
  • Feedback from the last batch of trainees has been collected and will be incorporated into the next round.

Publicity

  • The leaflets are back from the printers and look lovely.
  • Monty was interviewed on Radio Vague and even gave them a sneak preview of his new song.

Changes to scope, schedule or budget

If there are none, say so but keep this section.

No changes to scope. Due to a faster than expected take up rate we now expect to complete the project a week ahead of schedule. The budget is unchanged.

Planned work and targets for the coming month (or other period until the next report)

General

  • Luther will complete the draft implementation plan and circulate for feedback by Mon 30th Feb.

Recruitment

  • Karen will continue trying to find a 23rd volunteer and will make arrangements for proceeding with only 22 people as a fallback position.
  • Karen will ensure that our public liability insurance is up to date.

Training

  • Monty will incorporate the changes introduced as a result of feedback from the last batch of trainees into the delivery of the next round of Training before Tue 31st Feb.

Publicity

  • Monty will arrange distribution of the leaflets to the list of organisations identified in the plan. Distribution to be completed by Mon 30th Feb.

Risks

Make a note of any risks which may affect the successful delivery of the project and what is being done to mitigate them.

  1. Recruitment shortfall - if we are unable to recruit the 23rd member by the end of next week we will press ahead with 22 people. In the event of an even split we will give a casting vote to the person whose name is nearest the end of the alphabet (Zed).
  2. Wet weather - if the weather is wet we will run the next training session indoors, it's not ideal but it's better than postponing it at this stage.
