Gimp Help

Basics

GIMP is an abbreviation for GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed software package for tasks such as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It runs on many operating systems, in many languages and is considered as good as some professional tools such as Adobe Photoshop.

Two things it is important to remember:

  1. You paint with the left mouse button; and
  2. You select from the menus with the right mouse button.
