Where do you get the "Give away" computers?
In the past they have been donated by people, companies and institutions who don't want them any more.
Millions of computers have been thrown into landfill in the last few years. We want to make use of them.
Unfortunately we don't have particularly large amounts of space for storage, and have in the past had to dispose of equipment that organisations were simply donating to us to get around the problem of disposing of them themselves in a
WEEE compliant manner.
To counter this we have developed a relationship with Byteback Computer Recycling in Hartcliffe who are a not-for-profit social enterprise specialising in materials recovery from old hardware.
Byteback will collect and process equipment on a fee paying basis. If you specify Bristol Wireless on collection we will be given first choice on any equipment you make available. Byteback charges are downloadable from
here
Of course if you have 10 x 1GHZ/256MB/40GB with all keyboards, mouse and monitors to dispose of - talk to us direct, we'll be able to find them good homes with data wiped and a proper Operating System installed. :-)
