Is It Safe

RadiationSafety describes how safe the radio waves from the network are. Other safety aspects include electrical safety, and safety on roofing. All our nodes run on low voltage power supplies. This means that you can touch the insides of a powered node without damage to your person. The node may be a different matter! (er .. we don't recommend touching either!)

Safety on the roof is governed by our use of contractors when installing nodes. We do not recommend that untrained or uninsured people climb roofing to install antennas. Some installations, such as Twinnell House, have flat roofs with safety barriers around the perimeter and a door in the middle.
