Quite simply, you need an IEEE802.11b/g wireless device, such as a wireless card or wireless device. This will probably need an antenna to receive the signal from your nearest node.

If you have just one PC, your simplest solution is to buy a PCI wireless card (be sure to check it's compatible with your operating system) and connect this to an antenna on your roof: the shorter the cable run the better. If you have more than one PC on a home network, you will need a wireless client adapter (bridge) to connect your entire network to the Bristol Wireless network.

Of course, this may sound really rather baffling! If that's the case, there's a good few helpful souls in the project who are more than willing to help you. To get in touch with one of these helpful people, you can post a message to httpthe mailing list, or jon us on our httpchat channel
