MATTERS ARISING
- Minutes : Last month's minutes were approved.
- ECC Report : Sam will meet up with Mark next week to clear up any issues.
- Backbone Installation : Holroyd House install has been started, and inspected by the BBC. Some electrics still to be done. Armada House also requires some work. Backbone should be up by the end of the month, and it needs to be to get the last part of the funding.
- St Werburgh's : We have started teaching for UFI. They have £10k for upgrading their equipment, and we will give them a solution to this budget. There has been discussion about us moving from the lab to a room at WCC. We can move in immediately. All agreed to move in. Rich will arrange dates.
- AGM : Rich will arrange a venue for a Saturday in April.
- Books Audit : We need to get our books properly audited. Julien will arrange this.
- Management Committee : There was confusion about the difference between the management committee, elected roles, and membership. Any changes to this should be approved by the CDA, and brought to the AGM for approval.
- Helpdesk : 0845 number will be used to test, as we are still waiting on the 0906. VOIPbuster 0117 number didn't work properly.
- Volunteer Management : Sam is working on processes. We have inducted a couple of new volunteers (Simon and Dave) in the ECC, and one at St Werburgh's. We now have enough techincal people. We now need press people, and someone with a good legal understanding!
- Byteback : Contract to be signed, but yet to be received. Cannot do business until sorted. IoP has offered us another bunch of servers, which we shall accept.
- Migrations : Rich spoke to someone from CSV Environment, and they are "desperate" for a solution.
- Digital Cities : Sean went to a meeting of around 100 (mainly media) people regarding this. Sift are handling much of this bid, which is concentrating on regenerating communities in Bristol.
POLICIES
Not everyone has read these. Postponed until next meeting.
TEST KIT
There is a requirement for a test kit for users to do their own installs. This will be defferred until a decision is made on how the new network is to be structured.
TECHNICAL SUBGROUP
Matt L, Ben G, Lloyd, Rich and Bails are currently the only people who know passwords for the network. They shall have a meeting about how this group can be added to and present this at the AGM.
AOB
- Wordpress Publishing : Need to ensure those who need access have access.
- Change Log : Lloyd and Matt L will create a change log for all changes made to the network.
- Grievences : Following the disagreement between Lloyd and Rich, it has been agreed that a mediator will be the next stop for this dispute.
