UPDATE ON LAST MEETING

  • Strike public service broadcast from the meeting.

  • We get 50% discount on rates. Applied to Inland Revenue for 50% reduction (so we pay nothing). Baliffs came round when we didn't pay. We're in discussion with them to sort out what we owe. We shall pay, and reclaim when it's sorted.

MATTERS ARISING

  • ERN: Starting training at two per week. Three sites still to be installed. Should be completed by next meeting.
  • Website: Meeting 2 weeks ago was sucessful, and we now have a way forward with improving navigability. Photos should be added to spruce it up too. Website meeting on 16th Nov at 6pm in the lab.
  • SPAN: Cancelled.
  • Trinity Hall: They require some PCs, and we have suggested LTSP. We will loan them a machine until a decision is made on a way forward.
  • Preparation of Accounts: They need to be put in order. We have been offeed some free help with this, which Pete will try to chase up.
  • Annual Report: There is a page on the Admin wiki for people to update.
  • Vivaldi Project: Their requirements are on the wiki, so we need to set a date. Sean to arrange a meeting with them.
  • Bannerman Road School: People will need Police checking for working with kids. Funding application sent to the Tudor Trust (hope to hear back in 6 weeks). We need volunteers to build the machines. 15th Nov to all go down and build the machines. Build to be finalised by then. Need to devise what services we shall provide (web, mail, IRC, etc.). Invoicing for training also needs to be done by mid-December. 4 concurrent courses of 5 sessions each will be arranged. Ben, Paul and Jim have volunteered as tutors. Training to start in January, when their computers will be handed out. We need to contact Rupert at IoP to collect the rest of the machines.
  • Bittorrent: Will be installed on the ?BitCoop server.
