Network Abuse

Won't a public network be abused by spammers and drug dealers?

It is possible that spammers may try to abuse the network, but this is controlled by software on the mail server preventing too many messages being sent in quick succession.

--NOTE: Am I right about anti-spam?

As for drug dealers, whilst it is an entertaining thought that drug dealers will sit in cars with a laptop on the knee, it is rather unlikely! IRC is not the best medium for ordering drugs, and is unlikely to be adopted.
