Colloboration notes for Bristol Wireless and Vivaldi project in Knowle

We Can Provide:

Knowledge and experience of wireless networking in a community. Knowledge of hardware, and software to use. Real world issues like trees! We can provide a network design based on 3 years of experience development.

What Do They Want?

We need to find out what they wish to gain from speaking to us. Where do they believe our experience will help? How much work have they already completed? Should we look over their current designs (if any).

Our Initial Requirement

Network design:

• Looking at our map showing locations of initial batch of hosts.
• Spend some time travelling around Knowle highlighting possible sites for antennas.
• Provide ideas on how you think the network design could develop.

Equipment:

• Advice on equipment with a view to selecting the right equipment for any proposed network design. What works well and what doesn’t!

Installation:

• Advice on the legal aspects of installing wireless antennas and selecting a good rigger.
