Netgear MA311GE
Prism 2.5-based PCI card with rp-sma antenna connector.
Pros:
- Reasonably cheap
- Good linux support
- Easily available pigtails
Cons:
- PCI (well it’s a con if you have a laptop; Netgear’s pcmcia doesn’t have an external antenna socket)
- Cable runs from back of card to external antenna
Uses:
- Hostap based repeating nodes
Available from:
www.ebuyer.co.uk
Cons:
cable runs from back of card to external antenna
Why is this a con?
signal loss
What’s a good distro to run this on to act as an AP…will Pebble Linux be the best to do this with?
