Prism 2.5-based PCI card with rp-sma antenna connector.

Pros:

  • Reasonably cheap
  • Good linux support
  • Easily available pigtails

Cons:

  • PCI (well it’s a con if you have a laptop; Netgear’s pcmcia doesn’t have an external antenna socket)
  • Cable runs from back of card to external antenna

Uses:

  • Hostap based repeating nodes

    What’s a good distro to run this on to act as an AP…will Pebble Linux be the best to do this with?
