First Ubuntu Day announced
In a blog post Marcin Kierdelewicz of Ubuntu has announced the first ever Ubuntu Day.
Ubuntu Day will be a local event organised with the distro’s partners to support awareness and adoption of Ubuntu technologies in local markets. It will be an opportunity for people to learn about Ubuntu Cloud products directly from the experts and get some technical hands-on training with MAAS, Juju and Charms.
The inaugural Ubuntu Day will take place at 3 Via Santa Maria Valley, 20123 Milan, Italy.
The agenda for this initial event is as follows:
Morning general audience sessions (9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.):
- Canonical Overview – Introduction to Ubuntu Technologies
- Ubuntu Linux & Cloud – OpenStack, Autopilot, BootStack
- Ubuntu Tools – MAAS, Juju and Landscape
- OpenStack for Service Providers
- Ibuildings Presentation
Afternoon technical sessions (1:30 p.m. – 5.30 p.m.):
- Introduction to MAAS
- Introduction to Juju
- Juju charm school
- Writing charms
