Bristol Wireless Library
We’re building up quite a nice lending library of computer text books and philosophy of technology at the Lab, if anybody wants to do some self-instruction or just wants a riveting read. Some people have donated the cream of their book collection, while others have just brought in the dregs. 🙂
Any donations welcome!
Hiya,
have you considered using the distributed library project software to give people access to this collection?
there’s a dlp node here: http://dlp.theps.net – but you might want to start your own local node – though this one would work too.
I am happy to help install and customise it as I am helping to develop this software.
Cheers,
Saul.
v. interesting project, looks a wee bit buggy at the moment though 🙁
yes, true, it is buggy, and badly built, but there are plans to use the current system for the time being, and do some proper software development on it… and migrate any data into a new system.
have a dig round http://dlpdev.theps.net for some pointers as to how we’re thinking of doing it.
what bugs have you found?
